You'll love this next article!Everyone knows about viruses, but have you heard about sentient viruses? That's like saying robots have a conscience! Anyways, our netrunners found something pretty baffling: spatial distortions in Cyberspace. Now, I know what you're thinking! It could just be lag or latency or high-traffic networks but this was during a scheduled maintenance. Not only did they discover things glitching out but the underlying coding of objects and assets were constantly changing. Obviously they didn't want to touch the data as it may corrupt their avatars.
But guess what! Somehow, they were able to take a picture of the virus! This is the first time we've documented a sighting in real-time! Unfortunately, the transcribed photo was pretty garbled. Even so, the server scrubs the web at fixed intervals but it wasn't fast enough to locate this one virus? Seems sketchy. For now, the virus doesn't seem too intrusive and is only malicious at most, kind of like a pest or a computer bug. We never found it again so maybe it got wiped.

Project KAIN: A Super-Super Computer?
The following information was scalped off a private military server.
Schematics on quantum super-computing theorize that it may be possible to lead humanity without manual interference. I'm skeptical on the plausibility and feasibility of such a project.
First of all, the infrastructure requires a dyson sphere spanning the entire planet. Construction aside, is it up in space or underground? Hundreds of power stations offloading energy to power it for just a second is not sustainable. The planet cannot house computing power of that magnitude.
Yet, progress is being made somehow.
Findings underscore tests in merging two existing super-computers to compare against quantum computing. So far, tests are inconclusive and need additional "evidence." As expected. The most surprising detail, however, is that the projected timeline for finishing this project is 5 years? Maybe those crazy conspiracies were right and we've been lied to this whole time.
Shifting to the inevitable A.I. takeover, these two super-computers can "talk" to the researchers and even predict their hypothesis. Now, here's a scary thought: these machines are now so advanced that their intelligence outpaces the 25 billion people on this planet. These scientists recommend to military personnel that the quantum computer should not direct military operations on the basis that these computers are already impossible to observe in real-time due to black-box complexities. It's probably already too late.

A Hot-Zone is a highly-contested area between the Tripartite Global Federation (TGF) and the Grand Alliance (GA). Sub-factions such as Covenant and TaskForce66 may be involved in defending smaller pockets of strategic areas, typically access control points, chip manufacturing hubs, or data centers.

An access control point is essentially a gateway into Cyberspace. Much like telluric currents which run along the planet's magnetic fields, many of these points are geographically located along the space. Beyond the layer of cyberspace lies a quantum-level strata where data can be transcribed into a form of consciousness. To utilize this frontier, one would need a special pod called a virtual machine (VM) that can transfer their body into binary datapoints. These points consolidate into a neural network in which the user activates via electric brain signals transmitted directly from encrypted access control points. Only the Covenant and select-few military personnel have permission to backdoor entrances of Hyperspace.
Mechanics
Configuring singular parameters onto an individual's programming or target is possible. Weaponizing these mechanisms through exhaustive trial and error renders the deletion of an individual's consciousness within Hyperspace, essentially becoming comatose. There are 5 existing parameters.
- Ex.) If an individual's hand is deleted, anything related to the joints of the fingers is also deleted.
